PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal processor and its method that can prevent wrong-detection and conduct IP conversion with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A function of representing a motion by an absolute value of a difference of two data is decided, maximum value among a motion desirably to be detected of data of a pixel A of a current field at the same position as that of a pixel R and a pixel D on a two-field delay at the same position, a motion of data of a pixel B on 1 field delay on a line above the pixel R and a pixel E on a three-field delay at the same position, a motion of data of a pixel C on one-field delay on a line under the pixel C and a pixel F on a three-field delay at the same position and a maximum value of a motion of data obtained from the pixels B, C through in-field interpolation and data of the pixel D, and a motion of the data of the pixels A, D are obtained, and the maximum value in the two maximum values which is smaller is used for the motion of the pixel R. |
