PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print inspecting device for paper sheets which can accurately inspect whether the surface state of a printed paper sheet is good or not even if the paper sheet shifts in position. SOLUTION: In a previously stored nonnative image (Po), two mutually distant reference areas A and B and respective circumferential retrieval areas AA and BB including them are set, the coordinates of a picked-up image (Pn) are moved so that reference corresponding areas A' and B' which are retrieved in the retrieval areas M and BB of the picked-up image (Pn) and have data arrays having the largest correlation with data arrays in the reference areas A and B are in the corresponding reference areas A and B, and the data array of a corrected picked-up image (Pn') obtained by the coordinate movement is compared with the data array of the normative image (Po) to accurately and efficiently inspect whether the surface state is good or not even if printed corrugated cardboard shifts in position. |
