PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas insulated electric apparatus capable of making a communication between containers without need for installing piping straddling the flange o the container, and capable of supplying and exhausting independently of the individual containers. SOLUTION: First gas flow passages 42, 43 communicating the inside and outside of the containers 29, 30 are formed at the flanges 34, 35 on both sides of an insulation spacer 40. The first gas flow passages 42, 43 are communicated with each other at a second gas flow passage 45 having a supply and exhaust opening 47. At the second gas flow passage 45, a valve device 110 is mounted which conducts switching between the supply and exhaust opening 47 and the first gas flow passages 42, 43.
