DYNAMIC APPLICATION PORT SERVICE FOR PREPARING PACKET SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet switch node having 1st and 2nd transfer engines. SOLUTION: The 1st and 2nd transfer engines are interconnected via a 1st path depending on a search engine and a 2nd path independently of the search engine. The 1st transfer engine identifies a 1st session where an application port number is dynamically negotiated with a 2nd session to direct the 1st session to the 1st path. The search engine monitors negotiation of the dynamic application port number of the 1st session to decide a dynamic application port number for the 2nd session, configures a service level for the 2nd session on he transfer engine and directs the 2nd session to the 2nd path. Furthermore, the 1st transfer engine identifies a 3rd session to which the application port number is statistically assigned to direct the 3rd session to the 2nd path.
