PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adverse influence on transferring performance due to sticking of a release agent to the backside of a recording sheet, when both sides printing is performed while securing releasing performance. SOLUTION: In a fixing device for an image forming apparatus, control is carried out by a control means 18, so that release agent coating by driving of a web motor 85 for printing a back side is started earlier than the coating for printing a front side, when a both sides passing mode is set by a paper- passing mode setting means 81. |
