PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pitot tube type flowmeter in a new style which has a wide measurable area and can detect and measure the flow rate of even a gas fluid containing mist, powder, etc. SOLUTION: This pitot tube type flowmeter detects and measures the flow rate in a fluid flaw passage by using a pitot tube and a differential pressure gage; and a dynamic pressure detection hole 5 provided to a pitot tube 4 for dynamic pressure detection is bored in the opposite direction from the direction of the flow 2 of the fluid and the pressure is detected as negative pressure to detect and measure the flow rate of the gas fluid including mist, powder, etc.
