<p>A radiotelephone (11) and associated housing (13) that is configured for more convenient use by providing a larger display screen (19) for the radiotelephone user. A keypad (17) and a display screen (19) are placed on a first housing surface (15). A microphone and a speaker are spaced apart on a second housing surface. A touch sensitive pad (18A) is optionally provided on the first surface (15), for supplemental entry of data, commands and/or graphics. A battery or battery pack, optionally detachable from the housing, is provided adjacent to the microphone or adjacent to the speaker. The second housing surface is detachable from the remainder of the housing so that two or more second housing surfaces, with different colors, patterns, textures, etc., can be interchanged.</p> |
