The display frame is constructed from boards (1a-1c) which are joined together by H- and L-shaped connector pieces (2a,2b) that can be releasably attached to the board edge regions. The boards have grooves (5) which are located on at least the surface area (3) and extend into the board side walls (4). Each connector piece has at least two forked sections (6,6') each of which can slide into a groove in an adjacent board. Each forked section has two fork arms (7,7') that engage with either side of a strip (8) provided on one side of the board in the plane of the groove.
