PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cross over phenomenon, promote a drop of voltage and output power, improve fuel efficiency and give wider choices for electrode catalyst in a fuel cell which makes use of a combination of a solid electrolyte and a direct methanole method (methanole is directly oxidized with water). SOLUTION: The fuel cell is provided with a negative electrode 2, a positive electrode 3, and a proton conductive part 1 held between these electrodes, made of a fullerenol electrolyte, and methanole and water are supplied to the negative electrode 2 from a fuel supply opening 6. |
