PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve the problem of the conventional indoor unit of an air conditioner such as that since a flow control valve having an orifice is used usually as a flow control valve installed in the indoor unit, a refrigerant flow sound which occurs when a refrigerant passes an orifice is large, and it is the factor of deteriorating indoor environment, and since the refrigerant becomes the two phases of gas and liquid at the inlet of the flow control valve especially at dehumidifying operation, the addition of parts such as providing noise insulating material or damping material around the flow controller, etc., is required as its countermeasure, and it is causing the cost up, the deterioration of installation property, the deterioration of recycle property, and others. SOLUTION: In the indoor unit of an air conditioner which has stored a heat exchanger divided into a plurality and an electric equipment unit, a passage switch provided in a pipe for connecting the above segments of divided heat exchanger with one another, and a throttle device having noise insulating material within are closely arranged between the above heat exchanger and the electric equipment unit. |
