PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat plate type heat pipe, hardly deformed even when a load for contacting a cooling object closely to the heat pipe is received. SOLUTION: In the flat plate type heat pipe, in which only a condensable fluid is sealed substantially into a flat plate type sealed vessel 1, a thick part 3, having a predetermined configuration projected inward, is provided in the sealed vessel 1 at the central part of inner surface of an upper lid body 2 for the flat plate type sealed vessel 1. Further, supporting pillars 10 for connecting the thick part 3 to the inside surface of a bottom wall 6, opposed to the thick part 3, are provided. In this case, the supporting pillars 10 are constituted of a material same as that of the thick part 3 and a wick material is provided on the outer peripheral surfaces of the supporting pillars 10. |
