PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To refer to and control items from outside a workflow system. SOLUTION: Item specification information is supplied to an operation process of an operation flow system 20 instead of request item information. The request item information to be processed is stored in an operation support database 24 provided in an outward-open style from the operation flow system 20. Further, the processing state of a request item is stored in an outward open type item management data recording database 26. At each node of the operation process, the item specification information is put in a work list transmission/ reception box on a work list server 30. In response, a processing activity of an application server 28 processes the node as to the databases 24 and 26. The item specification information is supplied to the operation flow system and information on the object of processing is put in the outward open type database, so items which are being processed can easily be referred to and controlled without preparing any special workflow system.
