PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the color separation circuit of a single plate type color camera in which a correlation value can be calculated with higher accuracy and color reproducibility can be enhanced while preventing generation of a false color signal. SOLUTION: In the color separation circuit of a single plate type color camera, means for regulating the gain of each color filter is provided at the prestage of a correlation value detecting means which detects a direction of strong correlation among a plurality of kinds of direction about a pixel to be processed based on all pixel signals in a block of M×N pixel size about the pixel to be processed inputted through the gain regulating means.
