PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plural beam adaptable antenna and a communication method using the same, with which the directivity pattern matching each of radio terminal stations can be formed before starting communication. SOLUTION: In the plural beam adaptable antenna device provided with plural antenna elements 11, plural variable beam forming circuits 4 and demodulators 16, a peculiar vector acquiring means 15 is provided for finding plural peculiar vectors from the correlative matrix of plural antenna elements 11 to be found on the basis of the respective received signals of the plural antenna elements 11 and applying the complex conjugate value of the respective elements of found plural peculiar vectors as a value of weight for a weighting means.
