PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for flushing a flush toilet stool which can further save water compared with a technique disclosed in Japanese Patent No.2,633,932, and to provide the flush toilet stool for implementing the method. SOLUTION: The flush toilet stool includes a bowl portion and a drain trap which has an ascending pipe line extending from a bottom of the bowl portion and a descending pipe line connected to the ascending pipe line. The method for flushing the flush toilet stool is carried out by supplying flush water to the bowl portion, and generating a siphoning phenomenon at the drain trap, to thereby discharge excrement from the bowl portion. According to the method, air in the drain trap is expelled from the tip of the drain trap, and then the flush water is discharged to the descending pipe line of the drain trap.
