PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal driving circuit having a redundancy circuit of a small circuit scale by reducing the number of elements, relating to the liquid crystal driving circuit formed integrally with a pixel area on a glass substrate. SOLUTION: Gate pulses of n-pieces are sequentially generated by an output of the n-th step bit output line of a shift register 20. After generation of the n-th gate pulse, the (n+1) the step bit output line generates a 1st comparison signal. The output levels of the n-th step bit output line and the (n+1)th step bit output line are compared with each other by an EXOR circuit 30, and its output is inputted to a latch circuit 34 to switch on-off the power to the shift register 20. Each bit output line of the shift register 20 switched off the power supply is fixed at a level 'L'. An output of the bit output line of the normal shift register 20 or 22 is selected from OR circuits 24, 26, 28, etc., outputting logical OR of both bit output lines of the shift registers 20 and 22.
