The invention relates to the processing of polymeric materials, in particular to devices for producing a powder from high-strength polymeric materials wastes. The inventive device comprises a body (1) provided with a loading (2) and an unloading (3) orifice. A pressure spiral conveyor (4) provided with spiral grooves on the surface thereof is arranged inside a compression zone (I) of said body. A rotor (5), is arranged in a processing zone (II) coaxially with the pressure spiral conveyor (4). The inventive device is provided with means (6) for cooling the pressure spiral conveyor, with means (7) for cooling the rotor and also with means (8) for cooling the body in the compression and grinding zone. An annular slot (11) is embodied on the inner surface of the body (1) in the grinding zone (II) in such a way that it forms an annular prechamber (12) for pre-grinding which is arranged between the surface of the annular slot (11) and a lateral face of the rotor (5). Said device is provided with a grinding unit (9) arranged on the inner surface of the body on the side of the unloading orifice (3). The grinding unit (9) is embodied in the form of a circular boss and arranged in such a way that it forms an annular slot-type channel (10) with respect to the lateral face of the rotor (5). The pre-grinding of the reinforced polymeric material facilitates to move the prebroken material to the annular slot-type channel adjacent to the grinding unit.
