PURPOSE: An EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information updating method of a television is provided to remove the inconvenience of key manipulation for EPG information updating by having EPG information of all channels updated upon one time selecting an EPG mode while EPG information is displayed. CONSTITUTION: An EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information updating method of a television comprises the steps of a CPU(Central Processing Unit) deciding the selection of an EPG mode(200), displaying the video signals of a selected channel if the EPG mode is not selected(210), the CPU storing EPG information in a RAM(Random Access Memory) if the EPG mode is selected(220), comparing the EPG information in a ROM(Read Only Memory) with the EPG information in the RAM(230), updating the EPG information in the ROM if the EPG information in the ROM is not the same as the EPG information in the RAM(240), displaying the updated EPG information on a monitor through a video signal output circuit(250), and the CPU changing a channel via a tuner(260). Therefore, EPG information is updated conveniently.
