PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the precision of charging a capacitor. SOLUTION: This is a method of charging a load capacitor to a set voltage. The apparatus therefor is provided with an inductance means which is in series with the primary or secondary winding of a transformer connected to the AC side of an inverter circuit, and comprises the leakage inductance of the transformer; and a switching means which is turned on by a charging stop command, short-circuits the output side of the inductance means, and prevents an inertia current by the magnetic energy of the inductance means from flowing in the load capacitor. In this capacitor charging method, an increase in charged voltage of the load capacitor during the delay time td from the charging stop command up to the real charging stop is computed and pre-estimated, and with that in view the charging stop command is generated. |
