<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform confirmation of wrong inputs during the input of a user ID or a password in a portable terminal. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a display part 4 for displaying display data or the like on a screen, an input field selecting part 5 for allowing an operator to select an input field on the screen, and a password editing part 8 for when characters are inputted to the input field for a password, displaying the input character string as it is, before any confirming operation is performed by the operator, and for substituting the input character string with arbitrary symbols, when the confirming operation is performed by the operator. Therefore, the input character string is displayed as it is, before the confirming operation is performed by the operator, and the input character string is substituted with arbitrary symbols, when the confirming operation is performed by the operator so that wrong inputs can be confirmed during the input of the password.</p> |
