PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the high-pressure-side pressure of a refrigerating cycle from being abnormally higher than the design pressure thereof by internally controlling a compressor having the refrigerating cycle using carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. SOLUTION: A communication passage 45 passing from a high pressure room 44 to a crank room 14 is provided in a cylinder block 11 and a relief valve 46 is arranged in the communication passage 45. The relief valve 46 is formed to be open when a refrigerant pressure in the high pressure room 33 is higher than the design pressure (a proof pressure) of the refrigerating cycle.
