<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data stream processor that decodes a data stream recorded on a recording medium and transmits the data stream to other electronic device by using a bandwidth of a network. SOLUTION: An MPEG2 partial TS and information of a transmission channel bandwidth, recorded on a recording medium 16, are read in a step S11. The bandwidth for an IEEE1394 serial data bus is ensured, on the basis of the information of the transmission channel bandwidth to be read in a step S12. A packet of the MPEG2 partial TS to be read is buffered and a time stamp is generated on the basis of a PCR(program clock reference) decoded for that time. A header storing the time stamp is added to the MPEG2-TS packet for generating a source packet in a step S13, and the source packet is transmitted to other electronic device by using a transmission channel bandwidth of the IEEE1394 serial data bus in a step S14.</p> |
