PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for expanding compressed static image data to reproduce a static image that can reduce the installation cost of a memory required for the expansion and reproduction. SOLUTION: The compressed static image data reproduction system is provided with an image expansion means that expands the compressed static image data, a memory that stores the image data expanded by the image expansion means to a prescribed address area, and a control means that leaves the image data of a prescribed designated part among the image data stored in the prescribed address area to the memory, reads only the image data which have not been designated and writes the read image data to other address area of the memory, so as to store the data to the memory.
