VALVE SEAT OF CHLORINATED POLYETHYLENE ELASTIC BODY AND VALVE HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve seat that comprises an entirely new material and a valve having the valve seat. SOLUTION: The valve seat 4 comprises a chlorinated polyethylene elastic body. A valve seat of a two-layered structure is also preferable where at least a fluid-wetted part of a valve seat of synthetic rubber is further integrally coated in the chlorinated polyethylene elastic body. The chlorinated polyethylene elastic body is preferably cross-linked chlorinated polyethylene. The chlorinated polyethylene elastic body preferably comprises a cross-linked structure of a composition for chlorinated polyethylene cross-linkage including 100 pts.wt. of chlorinated polyethylene, 0.5 to 20 pts.wt. of an acid accepting agent, 0.5 to 7 pts.wt. of a cross-linking agent, 5 to 50 pts.wt. of white carbon and 0.5 to 10 pts.wt. of polyhydric alcohol or a derivative thereof. A suitable valve seat is one for a butterfly valve or a diaphragm valve.
