PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that enables work execution with the least possible labor. SOLUTION: In carrying out work execution of a vertical pipe 2 through series joining of two or more pipe materials 10 in a multistory building 1, the first pipe material 10 is hoisted from the top of the building 1 into a substantially vertical position by the deadweight. The second pipe material 10 laid in the lower floor with its upper end turnably attached to the lower end of the first pipe material 10 in the vertical position is next hoisted subsequently to the first pipe material 10 until brought in a substantially vertical position by the deadweight, so that the first pipe material 10 and the second pipe material 10 are substantially in a straight line. A process of fixing the upper end of the second pipe material 10 to the lower end of the first pipe material 10 in the state in the substantially straight line is appropriately repeated to join two or more pipe materials 10 in series and thus arrange the vertical pipe 2.
