PURPOSE: Provided is a preparation method of BAM-based blue fluorescent material by spray pyrolysis of the precursors after optimizing their composition. The above material has spherical shape with the filled inside and has few defective surfaces even without the use of solvent or colloids like conventional material. The material of the invention has the optimized powder characteristics showing excellent fluorescence and is used in plasma display. CONSTITUTION: The blue fluorescent material is represented by the formula 1:Ba(a)Mg(c)Al(d)O(a+b+c+3/2d):Eub, wherein 0.5<=a<=1.5, 0<b<=0.3, 0.5<=c<=2.0 and 0<d<=20. The method of preparation comprises: dissolving in distilled water and making 0.02-3M precursors solution of a barium precursor(selected from its nitrate, acetate, chloride and hydroxide), a magnesium precursor(selected from its nitrate, acetate and chloride) and an aluminum precursor(selected from its nitrate and chloride) and an europium precursor as the activator(selected from its nitrate, acetate and chloride), wherein the concentration of europium is 1-20mol% of the barium; making droplets with 0.1-100 micrometers diameter of the above precursor solution by introducing it into a spray machine such as microwave, air nozzle, microwave nozzle and filter expansion; heating in the tube reactor at 200-1,500deg.C; and going through an ox/redox complex process at 1,000-1,500deg.C for 1-5 hours or direct reduction after treatment. |
