A U-shaped face-bracket (2) is positioned in front of, and around, a skull (1). The bracket is joined, by means of a fixture-pin (5), to a biting-fork (8) which follows the shape of the teeth (9) at least in one section of it. The distance between the fork and the bracket is adjustable in length by a fixture pin which is detachably connected to the fork or bracket by means of an adapter (7).
