The present invention relates to an outdoor air means, which in particular can be arranged in connection with a window or a ventilating door. The invention also relates to a window for letting in fresh air, in which such an outdoor air means is situated. Hereby, said outdoor air means comprises a canal 2, 3 in connection with a window or a ventilating door for conducting substituting air constituted by outdoor air, into the room where it is mixed with the room's air. The outdoor air means is further provided with a check valve 5 preventing counter flow of the room's air, whereby said check valve is adapted to the air flow flowing into the room ahead of a control means 8 for the air flow, said means being present on the side of the room. Such a check valve comprises a frame 12 situated in the canal and having an opening 13 permitting the air to flow and being placed essentially horizontal, whereby a closing element is present in said opening, by means of which the counterflow of air from the room is prevented. The closing means is adapted to floating in the air flow directed towards the room, whereby its movements are limited by means of limiting means 15, 16 extending until the opening.
