The safety loop monitoring device uses a constant current source (G1) for testing breaker contacts (K4.1,..K4.n) within the safety loop, connected in series with actuators (K3.1,..K3.n), prior to operation, with evaluation of the obtained signals by combining with signals from at least 2 current sensors (I1,I2) at different positions in the safety loop, via an evaluation circuit (A1). The safety loop terminals are provided via addressable, remote-controlled bridge relays (K1.1,K1.2).
