PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump capable to various fuel systems. SOLUTION: This independent two-stage fuel pump for a ship comprises a first pump stage having a fuel suction port and a fuel delivery port, a second pump stage having another fuel suction port and another fuel discharge port, a means for determining a passage of the fuel to the fuel suction port of the first pump state and determining a passage from the delivery port of the first pump stage, and independent means for determining a passage of the fuel to the fuel suction port of the second pump stage and a passage from the discharge port of the second pump stage. The fuel pumped by the first stage of the pump is fed to a part excluding the fuel port of the second pump stage, and the fuel fed to the fuel suction port of the second pump stage is fed from a part excluding the fuel delivery port of the first pump stage.
