The method for renovation of a screw connection with a damaged thread (10) comprises using a self-tapping drill (12) to drill out the damaged thread and simultaneously cut a new thread. A bolt is inserted into a bush with internal and external thread and the two components are simultaneously screwed into the new threaded bore. An independent claim is included for a set of tools comprising the drill and a large number of bushes.
