<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map information display device and a display method, capable of improving operability of scroll operation in map information display according to the screen size. SOLUTION: When a read out map information display region area is lager than the menu selection reference region area and length and breadth of the map information display region is half the length and breadth of the menu selection reference region or more, a menu selection part 123 conducts scroll operation on a sub screen, on which eight directions are designated by change operation of a scroll operation menu. When the read out map information display region area is smaller than the menu selection reference region area or the length or the breadth of the map information display region is smaller than the half of the length or the breadth of the menu selection reference region, the menu selection part 123 conducts the scroll operation with an arrow button at a display map outer connection part through the change operation of the scroll operation menu. Therefore, the size of the map information display region is determined, based on the area and the length and the breadth of the menu selection reference region and the scroll operation menu is put to properly separate use between the sub screen, on which the eight directions are designated and the arrow button at the display map outer connection part. Thus, the operability of the scroll operation can be improved.</p> |
