PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored film coated metallic sheet having a conspicious rugged pattern in which the rugged pattern of a base metallic sheet is remarkably floated up and provided with peculiar designing properties in which the feeling of ruggedness and sparkling luster are emphasized, and the shade of the color tone is also imparted. SOLUTION: In this colored film coated metallic sheet having a conspicious rugged pattern is obtained by coating the surface of a metallic sheet with a film containing color pigment, the film thickness T of the film satisfies the following inequality (1): T<=L1+L2...(1); wherein, the film thickness T (μm) of the film is expressed by coating weight (g/m2)/specific gravity (g/cm3), and L1/L2 denotes the average value (μm) in the case the maximum height/the maximum depth of the crests/trough with a wide of >=0.5 mm in 25 mm of the optional measured distance in the cross-sectional curve of the metallic sheet measured by the method described in JIS B 0601.
