The invention relates to tubular elements (10) for e.g. struts, railings on scaffolding, supporting structures and similar tubular constructions. A hook (13) for detachably fixing the tubular element to another structural part (8, 9) is configured on at least one of the tube ends (11, 12). The aim of the invention is to configure said tubular elements in such a way that they can be connected without screw connections with hooks or other fixing elements, without weakening the tubes, and can be handled by one person. To this end, a fixing part (31) of the hook (13) is introduced into the tube end (11, 12) of each tube element (10), the tube end (11, 12) and the fixing part (31) being pressed together. Said hook (13) consists of two links (27) which are set apart from each other and between which a locking bar (18) with a hook eye (17) is pivotably fixed. Said locking bar (18) has a locking element (28) which points towards its pivot (19). On its upper front face (29), the locking bar (18) has at least one projection (30, 35) which is/are laterally offset from the pivot (19) and which project(s) beyond the links (27) of the hook (13). |
