PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make better electrode ink coating and catalyst layer transfer in a manufacturing method of a polymer electrolyte fuel cell by controlling a critical surface tension of a polymer electrolyte film or a base material sheet and surface tension of a dispersion medium in the electrode ink. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the polymer electrolyte fuel cell comprising a process for forming a catalyst layer-electrolyte film juncture which coats electrode ink on both sides of a polymer electrolyte film and eliminates a dispersed medium in the electrode ink, or a process for forming a catalyst layer which coats electrode ink on a base material sheet and eliminates a dispersed medium in the electrode ink, and a process for forming a catalyst layer-electrolyte film junction by transferring the catalyst layer on both sides of a polymer electrolyte film, the surface tension of the dispersed medium is set smaller than the critical surface tension of the polymer electrolyte film or the base material sheet. |
