摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite/ground path selection apparatus that can conduct output path selection control in response to traffic of each output port so as to avoid overflow of received traffic, thereby considerably reducing the channel capacity. SOLUTION: In an asymmetrical communication system consisting of a combination of a 2-way ground channel and a unidirectional satellite channel, the satellite/ground path selection system of this invention sharing information signals to the satellite channel and the ground channel measures received traffic by each output port so as to select a path on the basis of the traffic variation. Furthermore, a received traffic measurement function by each traffic class is added to the satellite/ground path selection system to attain more optimum path selection. Moreover, in the case of sharing the unidirectional satellite channel among communication points, the satellite channel among the communication points is set again to attain optimum path control.</p>
