ECHO SUPPRESSION METHOD AND ECHO SUPPRESSION EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress echo signal components effectively with a small amount of operation. SOLUTION: In this echo suppression method, a receiving voice signal A1 is reproduced to an acoustic signal with a reproducer 2, and a signal from a sound collector 3 is attenuated with a transmitting side attenuation part 1 and made a transmitting signal. Spectrum envelope of a received voice is obtained from the receiving voice signal by linear prediction analysis. Filter coefficients obtaining filter characteristics for flattening the spectrum envelope are calculated. The calculated filter coefficients are set in an echo suppression filter 13, and echo signal components are suppressed from a sound collection signal which passes the filter.
