PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide retrieving home page retrieving system and method capable of making a data base in the retrieving system execute operation for sorting categories by utilizing the characteristics of the number of digits of each numeral. SOLUTION: The retrieving home page retrieving system includes a retrieving home page 11, a retrieving engine 12, a home page data base 13, an information control module 14, and an information output module 15. When the data of a web site home page required to be retrieved are inputted to a URL input box on a browser screen of a computer 2 being a user terminal, the engine 12 performs complete coincidence collation or fuzzy collation on the basis of the inputted data by utilizing the data base 13, detects a TCP/IP address or a complete domain name corresponding to the data and transmits the detected data to the module 14 to link the browser of the computer 2 of the user terminal to the detected web site.
