Apparatus for recovery of hydrogen and/or synthesis gas by endothermic partial oxidation and/or reforming comprises a reaction chamber integrated inside of a high temperature fuel cell so that heat exchange occurs between the chamber of inside of the cell. The chamber comprises gas inlet and outlet. The outlet is connected to an external gas purifier. Also claimed is a process for recovery of hydrogen and/or synthesis gas comprising passing the feed gas for the reaction via the gas inlet into the reaction chamber, partially cooling the fuel cell, and feeding the gas into the gas purifier. |
