PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accessibility to a non-volatile memory mounted in a unit removably arranged in an image forming device body such as a process unit from an external device, to allow reading/writing of information generated from a printer engine as a conventional one, and to easily control data about a unit using condition such as a life of a photosensitive drum from the outside without any increase in a load of a video interface or an engine controller. SOLUTION: In a video controller 29 having an interface 30 to the outside, an interface (memory interface 32) to the non-volatile memory 22 mounted in the process unit 9 is arranged, and access from the engine controller 27 controlling the printer engine to the non-volatile memory 22 can be carried out via the interface (video interface 28) to the video controller 29. |
