PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club shaft capable of increasing a carry. SOLUTION: In this golf club shaft 1, at least a part is composed of an alloy satisfying the following requisites: (1) in which the alloy is composed of three or more components belonging to the adjacent groups in the Periodic Table of elements; (2) in which the difference in the atomic radii of at least two components is >=10%; and (3) in which the heat of mixing between at least the metallic element as the main component and the other one metallic element is >=-10 kcal/mol.
