PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of collecting information on selling of a client in visit selling and a method for collecting and managing client information while using this system. SOLUTION: In visit selling, a portable information terminal representatively like a portable telephone set is controlled only by the so-called bar code reading operation of a visit seller, the selling information of a client is transmitted to a server system on the Internet connected through radio communication and the client information is collected and managed by registering this information on a database.
