PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-tubular heat exchanger in which in the event any breakage has generated in a tube, the tube can be replaced, and a desired heat transfer performance is ensured without making allowance for the heat transfer area. SOLUTION: A short nozzle 6 through which a tube 2 can be passed is welded on the surface (the surface not in contact with a fluid flowing in the other side of a shell) of a tube plate 3. Both ends of the tube 2 are passed in a required amount through the nozzle 6 and the tube plate 3, and the periphery of the thrust part of the tube 2 stuck out of the nozzle 6 is welded to the tip end of the nozzle 6.
