PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for blowing conditioned air to a remote site by deflecting the direction of wind toward a ceiling effectively. SOLUTION: A forward inclined part 2a is inclined gently toward the ceiling, and at the same time upper/lower wind direction boards 8 can be rotated nearly horizontally or slightly in an upper direction corresponding to the forward inclined part. Also, a recessed line surface 2a1 is provided at the forward inclined part, a continuous irregular surface 8a corresponding to the recessed line surface is provided at the upper/lower wind direction boards, and the recessed line surface and the irregular surface are allowed to be continuous in a fan shape being expanded toward the downwind side, thus blowing conditioned air being blown from a supply opening 4 widely and uniformly. Also, since first and second release prevention means 11 and 12 for preventing the release of air flow are provided at the forward inclined part and the upper/lower wind direction board, the conditioned air blown from the supply opening can be guided toward the ceiling efficiently and can be blown to a remote site along the ceiling surface.
