PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake device which can easily remove a brake drum without interfering with a lining, in the case of removing the brake drum from a wheel bearing part. SOLUTION: This drum brake device 29 has a brake shoe assembly 30 provided in an axle housing 28 and a brake drum 50 provided in an external peripheral side of a lining 33 of the brake shoe assembly 30. A slope part 60 obliquely worked over the total periphery of the brake drum 50 is formed in an internal peripheral side of an opening end 50b of the brake drum 50. In a condition that the brake drum 50 is mounted in a wheel bearing part, an end 60a in an inner side of the slope part 60 is positioned in an inner part side of the drum 50 from an end face 33b of the lining 33.
