PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque limiter of high durability capable of producing the rotational difference between rotators with a stable predetermined limit torque at all times. SOLUTION: When the load of an output side rotator 2 is over the predetermined limit torque, the rotators 1, 2 mutually rotate against the frictional force and the rotational difference is produced. On this occasion, as each roller 4 is rotated while kept into contact with opposite faces of the rotators 1 and 2 and a pressing member 3, in a state that a rolling shaft of each roller 4 is inclined at a predetermined angle to a plane including the rotational shafts of the rotators 1 and 2, each roller 4 is rolled while producing the sliding friction. Whereby the static friction is immediately transferred to the kinetic friction by the rolling of each roller 4 when the rotational difference is produced between the rotators 1 and 2, and the stick slip intermittently producing the static friction and the kinetic friction can be remarkably reduced.
