PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ti alloy having sufficient strength as inexpensive alloy components are used, particularly to provide a Ti alloy free from components having the possibility of being harmful such as V, safely usable even for the living body and suitable as the material for a medical member. SOLUTION: This Ti alloy has a composition containing, by weight, 0.2 to 2.3%, preferably 0.4 to 2.3% Si and further containing 0.1 to 0.7%, preferably 0.2 to 0.5% [O+1.6N], and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities. The Ti alloy may further contain 0.001 to 0.30%, preferably 0.01 to 0.20% B in addition to the above alloy components. It is suitably made into a product or an intermediate product by casting.
