PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor capable of recording the faces of intruders within a monitor range. SOLUTION: When the intruders enter the monitor range while a monitor operation switch 31 is held turned on, an IR sensor 23 reacts by sensing the same in a step S11 and a flash 22 disposed adjacently to a camera 21 is turned on (step S12) and simultaneously a timer starts counting (step S13). The images of the face of the intruders picked up from the camera 21 are then recorded after the time counts 0.5 second (steps S14 to S16).
