The invention relates to the power, aviation and gas industries, metallurgy, chemical engineering etc., in particular to the aircraft motor engineering, turbine engineering, and compressor and pump engineering. The inventive labyrinth helical seal comprises helical oppositely directed channels embodied on surfaces which are mounted with a radial clearance inside a body of the compressor and the rotor or inside the body of the turbine and the rotor and also near the entry, i.e. between the stages and near the gas discharge from a supercharger, etc. The multistart helical channels are embodied on an internal surface of a stator ring and on an external surface of a rotor ring or on the surfaces of the stator and rotor. The geometrical parameters, shapes, profiles and screw dimensions are also disclosed.
