PURPOSE: An airship propulsion system and an airship airbag are provided to improve starting force of an airship by installing a steering unit. CONSTITUTION: An airship propulsion system comprises a propellant(20) mounted on a lower portion of an airbag(1) of an airship(100); plural engines(22) driving the propellant; a variable pitch propeller(30) connected to a driving shaft(28) through gear units(24,26); a first steering unit changing a rotational angle of the propellant from a fixed position of the propellant; a servo motor(34) controlled by a user by being installed on a shaft cover(8); a steering rod(36) connected to the servo motor; a propellant housing(32) engaged with an end portion of the steering rod; a universal joint(40) connecting the driving shaft and a propellant shaft(38); gear unit(9) operating the propellant; an engine driving the propellant; and a blade(41) changed by the variable pitch propeller. Thereby, the airship propulsion system improves starting force of the airship by installing the steering unit.
